We can be part of the solution

Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges. We know that we need collaboration and collective action to meet global climate goals.

Dear Friend,

Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges. We know that we need collaboration and collective action to meet global climate goals. And AT&T believes we can be part of the solution. That’s why we’re taking action to use our technology, talent and size to reduce emissions from our own operations and build additional resilience within our network.

Last week, we announced that our renewable energy purchases will surpass 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy capacity, solidifying our position as one of the largest corporate purchasers of renewable energy in the U.S. The combined electricity generated from AT&T’s renewable energy purchases (1.5 GW) is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an amount equivalent to providing electricity for more than 560,000 homes or to taking 690,000 cars off the road for 1 year.

Our investments in renewable energy are part of a company-wide commitment to help address climate change and create a better, more environmentally sustainable world. More information about our environmental programs and initiatives can be found at att.com/environment.

And thank you for doing your part in helping to address climate change.

Sincerely,

John Emra
