Veterans Day and more commitments

Dear Friend,

Many view the fall season as being synonymous with change. While our company is always prepared for an evolving world, our commitments have remained steadfast to inspire human progress through the power of communication and entertainment.

As you’ll read, this includes supporting the heroes who live among us: veterans and first responders. That’s why we are proud to announce the AT&T Veterans Media Fellowship, alongside Veterans in Media & Entertainment (VME). And we’re also focused on creating an environmentally sustainable future. During Climate Week, we announced new renewable energy purchases that will surpass 1.5 gigawatts of clean energy. That’s equivalent to providing electricity for more than 560,000 homes.

Here in New England, we remain committed to supporting young people and the organizations that serve them. On Saturday, November 16, we held an employee engagement opportunity at the Camp Harbor View Citython 5K road race on Boston Common to support one of our Believe Boston organizations, Camp Harbor View. Camp Harbor View has been an essential part of our Believe Boston Positively Digital initiative since its very beginning, utilizing AT&T’s support to incorporate new curriculum and resources into its leadership program for Boston teens that will help them utilize technology and connectivity in a positive, effective way. Its annual road race provided an opportunity for AT&T employees from across Massachusetts to get involved by running or volunteering, and we had more than 40 AT&T employees sign up from across multiple business units.

Additionally, two talented young women from Lewiston, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts, recently participated in the AT&T Hello Sunshine Filmmaker Lab. These two teen filmmakers were chosen from hundreds of others to travel to Los Angeles to build their skills in production, directing, audio and camera while learning from industry experts such as actress, producer and Hello Sunshine founder Reese Witherspoon. In this season of thanks, we extend our gratitude to all those we have collaborated with over the past year to strengthen our customers’ experience and the communities around them.
