Boston students explore STEM careers at the AT&T ‘High Tech Day’

A group of students from Boston Latin Academy had an opportunity to meet with AT&T professionals from across New England and discuss future careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics industries.

The interactive event, held on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the AT&T Regulatory and External Affairs Office in Boston, was part of the HACEMOS National High Tech Day. More than 2,000 students from 35 cities across the country took part in similar events — and each group had the chance to work virtually with their peers from other cities.

Participants in Boston were partnered with students from Wichita Falls and Miami.

HACEMOS is the AT&T Hispanic/Latino employee resource group. They have established a scholarship program to assist children of Hispanic origin and children of active HACEMOS members who plan to continue their education in college.
