AT&T Contributes $10,000 to Project Resilience to Help Ulster County Residents and Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19

County Executive Ryan partners with AT&T to provide resources for a safe online experience for residents of all ages as they are dependent on the Internet more than ever.

To help support the vulnerable residents and those facing immense challenges and food insecurity issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, AT&T is proud to contribute $10,000 to the county’s Project Resilience. 

Support from AT&T comes on the heels of the relief program serving its 100,000th meal and will provide more than 1,000 additional meals for those in need while helping to keep local restaurants in business.  In addition to financial support, AT&T is also collaborating with Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan to provide residents of all ages resources on how to be safe online as American’s are dependent on the Internet more than ever, while COVID-19 digital scams and predators are on the rise.

The $10,000 contribution grows out of  AT&T’s nationwide commitment to provide much needed support for first responders, medical personnel and Americans impacted by COVID-19. The effort kicked off with a $1.5 million contribution to World Central Kitchen, which is similar to Project Resilience, as it utilizes restaurants to feed first responders and those facing food insecurity issues. An additional $4 million has been donated to Feeding America, the Salvation Army and Team Rubicon to help feed Americans impacted by the health crisis.  AT&T will also be collaborating with a host of additional New York organizations in communities most impacted by the pandemic and providing other resources to assist with distant learning and food insecurity.

AT&T and County Executive Ryan know utilizing connected technology like computers, smart phones, tablets and other devices has become, for many, the primary method for staying in touch with the world outside during the New York Pause. To help Ulster County citizens navigate the digital world more safely the County Executive and AT&T encourage residents to access AT&T’s Cyber Aware for free, which offers tools, tips, apps, and more for people of all ages and levels of online experience to learn more about how to have a safe and secure online experience.
